2024 CCDR Wrapped
With 2024 ending, and every major media app giving you “your year wrapped”, have you looked at your “financial year wrapped”? I know for me over the last few years with the “Spotify Wrapped”, since 2016 when they introduced it, I always wanted to have the most minutes listened to music between my friends, or I would want to top myself the next year. Looking back, it has been the biggest waste of a goal, and really the “wrapped” is there just to say, “Thanks for wasting “X” amount of time with us this year!”, just so you feel better. What if we channeled the same interest from our Spotify Wrapped, or Netflix wrapped, into our “Financial year Wrapped”?
Looking back to the start of 2024, January, have you made the progress you wanted to? Because let’s face it, everyone has the basic goals “I want to make more money this year”, or “I want to pay down all of my debts owing”. In theory, the motivation is nice, but it won’t last more than the first two weeks of the year where you have the big burst of motivation. Instead of your usual “new years resolutions”, lets start a trend of “new years plans”. If your goal is to make more money or invest more into different accounts like your RRSP accounts, lay out a plan, and talk with your financial advisor. Or your goal is to pay down debt, then let’s work out a plan or a budget, or build a debt snowball. Other options also include with talking with people who are experts in the field, like CCDR (Canadian Customer Debt Relief). You wouldn’t ask a DJ to come up with a dance routine, because that is not their specialty. Going into the new year, let’s allocate our time and plans to people and companies, that can help you capitalize on next years “Financial Wrapped”, so you can look back, and have something to be proud of.
2024, along with any other year has come and gone at the blink of an eye. Just like how this year has, the following one will too, so instead of making meaningless goals to stroke our egos, lets work towards them together, or making plans with no backing, go into the new year with your minds set. Knowing that the year will go by faster than you know, use that to your advantage by knowing that whatever struggles that may come from allocating funds elsewhere to build your financial success, that better times are ahead.
